A farcical comedy about marriage and love based on 'The Belle's Stratagem' by Hannah Cowley, originally written in 1790.
Danny played the flamboyant, cunning Flutter and the stiff but charming Doricourt in this Summer tour around the south west of England.
Yorkshire Kernel

A one-man show about a Yorkshire Grandfather's mission to honour his fallen comrades.
Written by and starring Danny, this bonkers, chaotic but heart-warming show follows James and his Grandad as they plant trees around the UK as living memorials.
The show will be touring again Autumn 2023.

Suffer Fools Gladly

A witty two-hander about a court jester.
Written and starring Danny, this comedic play full of rock music references and political cameos sees court jester Ozzy meet moody teenage Stevie.
The show toured in September 2020 around gardens, campsites and a farm during the pandemic.
UNDERMINED
Danny Mellor Presents.
A one-man play set in the 1984 miners' strike.
Danny's first ever one-man play based on the accounts of miners who lived through the strike.
The play toured nationally three times, had two runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and transferred to London's prestigious Wilton's Music Hall.
The Snow Dancer

A Christmas eco-fable with humour and heart.
Danny showed off his accents, puppetry, singing and his limited dancing skills..
The Snow Dancer toured several times around non-theatre venues in Yorkshire.

Danny played Tom, soldier turned trade unionist who deals with guilt and grief whilst fighting for a better world.
The show toured around the North of England.
Danny was nominated for Best Male Actor at the Buxton Fringe.

A delightful family friendly show in which Danny used 8 different puppets, each with their own accent!
The show toured nationally around theatres and non-theatre venues such as Brimham Rocks and Thorington Outdoor Theatre.

A powerful play about restorative justice.
Danny plays Leon who meets the parents of the girl he killed in a car crash.
The play toured in the south-west of England including a run at Exeter's Bike Shed Theatre.

A tense relationship drama by Laura Lomas.
Directed by Stef O'Driscoll, Danny played the antagonist Liam in this gripping drama where he is sent to prison for murdering his sisters boyfriend.
The play ran at The Gate Theatre in Notting Hill.

Written by Melanie Ann Ball and directed by Ben Butcher, this two-hander focused on love, drugs and betrayal. Danny played the cheeky northern artist Matty.

A play by Melanie Ann Ball about the charity Samaritan's.
This was a quick turn around for a show (two weeks preparation!) that saw Danny as the loveable but rough around the edges boyfriend of his drug addict girlfriend.
